Saying she considers the acoustics of the Royal Opera house in Berlin exceptionally unfavorable, that after Munich's wonderful house and acoustics she was simply astonished at how little her voice carried, that that was clear to her at the first performance of [Wagner's] Meistersinger in Berlin [on 1 April 1870], which was entirely in contrast to the Munich première where Wagner conducted all the rehearsals, that Franz Betz once told her that "in Berlin we must put other colors on the palette," etc.
